Frequently Asked Questions

Is Shockwave therapy safe for me?

Shockwave therapy is generally safe and has no known side effects although a short term discomfort such as tingling or numbing feeling may be felt during and after the treatment.

The first visit is likely to take about an hour as we have to do thorough evalualition for your case but the treatment itself usually takes less than 30 minutes. The follow-up treatment sessions are generally quicker.

How long is a treatment session?

You can go back to your activity an hour after your therapy. While most patients didn’t experience adverse effect, some may feel a little burning sensation or tenderness following shockwave therapy but these modest after effects will not necessarily hinder you from getting back to work.

What happens after my treatment. Do I need to rest?
